Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal's manuscript management system.

  • Submissions must conform to the journal's formatting and reference style (Vancouver style).

  • Authors must declare conflicts of interest and funding sources.

  • Images, videos, and supplementary material must comply with ethical standards and be appropriately cited.

  • Original research must include ethical approval details when involving human participants or animal subjects.

  • Word limits and specific section guidance (e.g., Abstract: 250 words, Original Articles: 3,500–5,000 words) are specified on the journal website.

  • Commentary and Editorials

  • Surgical Technique Videos

Ethics and Malpractice Policy

  • Research Ethics: All studies involving human participants must adhere to the Declaration of Helsinki principles, and animal research must follow institutional ethical standards.

  • Plagiarism: J-MARS uses plagiarism detection software. Plagiarized content will be rejected immediately.

  • Duplicate Publication: Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Conflict of Interest: All potential conflicts must be disclosed.

  • Authorship: Only individuals who have significantly contributed to the research and writing process should be listed as authors.

Cases of misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism) will be handled following the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
